The holding of the conference in the M'Goun Geopark territory could provide an excellent opportunity to promote this high mountain territory with exceptional geology and biodiversity and inhabited by populations with an ancestral culture.
I am delighted and honoured that the 10th International Geoparks Conference is taking place in Marrakech and in our territory of the M'Goun Geopark, a territory rich in natural and cultural resources. We are carrying out a large number of modern socio-economic development activities for the benefit of the welcoming inhabitants and their ancestral traditions in the mountain valleys of the High Atlas while protecting our historical heritage and preserving a sustainable environment.
